Yealink W90B multi-cell DECT base
Yealink W90B is a professional multi-cell DECT base station developed for uninterrupted wireless communication across large areas and high user density. In environments such as warehouses, hospitals, large offices, production facilities, and retail chains, it keeps staff connected as they move between base coverage areas without dropping calls.
Retail and DECT headset scenario
In Yealink's DECT headset retail solution, the W90 multi-cell base architecture is recommended for retail chains that must cover multiple sites. The system scales to up to 250 headsets; teams keep communication continuity while moving between floors, departments, or store zones. Full-duplex push-to-talk enables more natural team communication where everyone can speak and listen at the same time, unlike the one-way limitation of classic radios. Coverage can reach tens of meters indoors and much wider areas outdoors depending on the scenario; talk time throughout the day is supported depending on headset models.
Seamless roaming and stable coverage
With seamless roaming and handover, active calls transfer to the nearest base as staff move from one floor or zone to another. LAN synchronization helps bases work in harmony on the network; external antenna options reduce dead zones to achieve wider coverage with fewer bases.
Scale, capacity, and management
The W90B-based multi-cell architecture can grow to dozens of bases and up to 250 handsets / DECT headsets, offering high simultaneous call capacity during peak traffic. Centralized management, auto organization, and fast CSV registration shorten deployment time on large installations. Field analysis with the DECT Deployment Toolkit can reduce unnecessary hardware purchases.
Compatible device family
The system is designed to work with office handsets (e.g. W53H / W56H / W73H / W78H), industrial W59R, wireless conference phones (CP930W / CP935W), DD Phone desktop DECT solutions, and compatible Yealink DECT headsets. Different job profiles can be brought together on the same infrastructure.
Difference from W70B
W70B is for single-base scenarios of roughly 2,500 m² and up to 10 devices — ideal starting points for a single store. W90B is the right choice for projects that need multi-cell architecture, multiple locations, wide coverage, and scale up to 250 devices.
